‘Thomas Frank leading total Tottenham overhaul’ after Daniel Levy decision
Thomas Frank is being backed by Daniel Levy to lead a major overhaul of his Tottenham squad, according to the club’s former scout.
Mick Brown, who also worked as the chief scout at Man United and Sunderland and remains very well-connected at his former clubs, exclusively told Football Insider that Spurs can expect “huge” signings alongside big sales before the window closes.
The newly-appointed manager is believed to have the full backing of the owners and directors at Spurs amid acknowledgement that wide-scale changes are needed.
This comes after Brown told Football Insider on 15 July that Frank plans to keep Destiny Udogie as part of the core of his squad despite speculation about his future.
Despite lifting the Europa League trophy in May, the team’s Premier League performance raised concerns and led to Ange Postecoglou’s dismissal, with players set to follow.
As a result, Tottenham are prepared to back Frank in the transfer market and have already shown their willingness to spend big on the squad.

Daniel Levy to back Thomas Frank plans at Tottenham
Brown told Football Insider in June that Tottenham would back Frank to sign Yoane Wissa from Brentford as they are prepared to support his plans in the transfer market.
The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that Daniel Levy will be prepared to back the manager’s decisions.
“Thomas Frank will have a plan for every player in his squad,” he told Football Insider.
“After going in to replace Postecoglou, he will have figured out the nucleus of players he wants to stick with and build the rest of his squad around.
“It looks like he’s going to be making some major changes there, not just with huge players coming in but with a few going the other way as well.
“He’s going to be given the backing of the owners to make wide scale changes there.
“After last season, they’re not happy with where they finished in the Premier League.
“They want to head in a new direction, and to do that they feel they have got to back the manager to sign the players he wants and sell the ones he doesn’t.
“It’s not always as simple as that, they have to be clever, but he has a good track record.
“It’s going to be a very busy window for him.”

Morgan Gibbs-White latest emerges after Forest twist
One big-name signing Spurs are aiming to complete this summer is that of Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest, despite the situation becoming complicated.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on 15 July that Gibbs-White is still likely to join Tottenham before the window closes despite ongoing concerns about the move.
Gibbs-White was set to join Spurs for a fee of around £60million, before Forest dramatically halted the move by threatening legal action against the buyers.
Despite the controversy, sources say that the move will be finalised by the end of the transfer window.
