Thomas Frank has seen his odds slashed to become the next Crystal Palace manager.

The former Tottenham Hotspur boss was sacked in February, with the club being dragged into a relegation battle.

However, his failure at Spurs does not appear to have greatly affected his reputation, with his work at Brentford still being admired by many.

Now, with Oliver Glasner set to depart Selhurst Park at the end of the season, one bookmaker has placed Frank to Palace at 5/2, with Oddschecker on 21 March confirming that these odds have been slashed.

Frank to Crystal Palace has long been rumoured, and Football Insider has explored below on whether he can become a success.

Could Thomas Frank be a success at Crystal Palace?

The appointment of Frank at Tottenham was a complete disaster.

The Dane won just 13 out of 38 games in charge, and at the time of his sacking, Spurs were without a win in eight league matches, and just five points above the relegation zone.

However, it is not uncommon for managers to struggle at the North London club, with Ange Postecoglou finishing 17^thlast season, and Igor Tudor without a win so far in the Premier League.

As a result, Frank’s potential Palace reign should be judged more on his time at Brentford, where he had the club in the battle for Europe, despite their constant sales.

In his final season, he guided the Bees to a 10^th-place finish and was even nominated for manager of the season.

Therefore, based on his previous long-term success at Brentford, there is no reason why he could not repeat this at Palace.

Who else is linked with the Crystal Palace job?

With former Man United chief scout Mick Brown exclusively telling Football Insider that sacking Oliver Glasner was not on the cards, it looks all but certain that Palace’s next managerial appointment will have to wait until the summer.

As it stands, Robbie Keane is the heavy favourite for the role at 15/8 odds after impressing early in his management career.

Sean Dyche also remains in the mix after his Nottingham Forest departure at 11/2.

Gareth Southgate coming into Selhurst Park remains a possibility at 8/1, in what would be a sensational return for the former star.

A potential outsider is also Frank Lampard at 12/1, with the former Chelsea star looking all but certain to guide Coventry City back to the Premier League this season.
