Thomas Tuchel learns when Jude Bellingham can next feature for England amid injury update

Jude Bellingham should be able to feature for England in October, thanks to the latest update provided by Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso.

In the summer, Bellingham endured shoulder surgery and was set to be out of action until next month.

Despite the influential midfielder’s absence, Alonso’s men sit top of La Liga after earning three wins from three games.

Meanwhile, during the 22-year-old’s period on the sidelines, England hammered Serbia 5-0 in Belgrade on Tuesday, 9 September.

Jude Bellingham is set to be available for England in October

England’s win over Serbia put Thomas Tuchel’s men in a commanding position to seal qualification for next summer’s World Cup.

Meanwhile, the Three Lions’ next fixture sees them face rivals Wales in a friendly on 9 October at Wembley.

Speaking to the press about Bellingham’s return on Friday, 12 September, Alonso revealed: “I want to be optimistic, I hope he can be back before October. We are waiting for him.”

Therefore, Tuchel should be able to select the former Borussia Dortmund man against Wales and Latvia next month.

Jude Bellingham cannot just walk back into Thomas Tuchel’s lineup

There is no doubt that Bellingham is a world-class talent who has already proven that he has what it takes to deliver for both club and country on the big stage.

However, Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers provide strong competition, meaning that the Birmingham City academy graduate is not guaranteed a starting spot in Tuchel’s starting 11.

Palmer shone in the Club World Cup for Chelsea, notching two goals and one assist when the Stamford Bridge club beat PSG 3-0 in July’s final.

Meanwhile, Rogers notched an assist for England on 9 September, with a neat flick in the build-up to Noni Madueke’s maiden Three Lions goal.

Bellingham is an elite talent who can play in several midfield roles, and he produced an impressive return of 15 goals and 14 assists in 58 appearances across all competitions last term.

However, fellow playmakers like Rogers and Palmer mean that the Real Madrid ace will have to work hard to re-establish himself in Tuchel’s starting 11.
