Three Aberdeen stars McInnes must swoop for if appointed Rangers boss

Graeme Shinnie

Shinnie’s brother Andrew made a handful of appearances in the Rangers first-team and Graeme could follow suit if McInnes wants to bring him to Ibrox.

Comfortable in a number of positions, Shinnie could either come in at left-back or offer more depth in midfield.

With Declan John only on loan and Lee Wallace spending more and more time out injured every season, the Gers probably need to look at the left-back position as a priority.

The enforcer was handed the captain’s armband at the Dons after Ryan Jack was stripped of it by McInnes last season but would make a brilliant addition to the Ibrox side.
