Celtic turned in a truly dreadful performance in losing 1-0 to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park, with the only goal of the game being scored by the outstanding Youssouf Mulumbu.
It may have been only the Hoops’ second defeat of the season, but it was well deserved as the Bhoys failed to create any chances of note until an Olivier Ntcham free-kick that was saved in the 90th minute.
The Hoops were disrupted by first-half injuries suffered by centre-backs Dedryck Boyata and Kristoffer Ajer, but that doesn’t excuse the poor performance that followed, as Killie easily stifled any attacks from the Scottish Premiership league leaders.
Brendan Rodgers may have to consider making changes to his side, beginning in the Scottish Cup tie against Partick Thistle next Saturday.
