Defender breezing it in top-flight: Three players Rangers must snap up in summer
COMMENT
Rangers manager Graeme Murty has helped the Light Blues have a remarkable resurgence in the Scottish Premiership since the winter break and, alongside director of football Mark Allen, will have turned his eye to summer signings – despite not being sure of his own future yet.
Murty and Allen brought five new faces into the first-team squad in January as they revamped the pool inherited from Pedro Caixinha in October and all five have been fairly successful so far.
The new signings have helped the Gers over take Aberdeen in second place in the table and go on a run of five consecutive wins for the first time since 2016.
The Gers have closed to within six points of leaders Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership and face a Scottish Cup quarter-final with Championship side Falkirk at Ibrox on Sunday.
Despite the season having lots of twists and turns still to come before the curtain comes down, Murty and Allen will have started preparing for further signings in the summer to help the Gers continue to improve and win trophies.
