Three players Ruben Amorim must axe vs Bournemouth despite Wolves win
Ruben Amorim still has issues to address despite Man United’s convincing 4-1 win over Wolves at Molineux Stadium.
Kobbie Mainoo was given a rare chance to impress on Monday, 8 December, being cheered onto the pitch as a late substitute, with all three points in the bag on the road.
Bruno Fernandes scored the first of his brace before the Red Devils were pegged back by Jean-Ricner Bellegarde. By full-time, however, Bryan Mbeumo and Mason Mount had both netted.
The result meant that Wolves are all but condemned to relegation, having won just two points from their opening 15 matches, but there were still some red flags for United against a struggling side.
While Bournemouth drew 0-0 with Chelsea to see them remain 13th in the Premier League table, the Cherries are a more difficult opposition, and Amorim must be wary of them on Monday, 15 December.
Luke Shaw
Luke Shaw has been a standout player for the Red Devils this season, starting all 15 of their Premier League fixtures, but some of Amorim’s big names are returning to the fray.
Lisandro Martinez could be available after gaining valuable minutes against West Ham and Wolves, with Leny Yoro also being sent to the bench for the start of both games.
Although it was a routine victory, Amorim will be after perfection, and with five aerial duels lost [FotMob], the most of any of his teammates, he could be on the chopping block against Andoni Iraola’s men.
Casemiro
Casemiro certainly splits opinion at Old Trafford, but even against the Old Gold, he looked slow at times, as proven by his number of missed tackles and fouls committed at Molineux.

Supporters would absolutely love to see Mainoo given a start, but as that appears unlikely at the moment, Manuel Ugarte could be handed a rare start against the Cherries.
Mason Mount
Fans would have also loved to see Mount hit the back of the net against Wolves – his third of the campaign – but his overall play left much to be desired.
During 85 minutes on the pitch, he created a single chance, failed to complete a single dribble, was dribbled past three times, and also lost the joint-most duels of anyone on the pitch [FotMob].
If that is to become a common occurrence for the Red Devils, it will become clear quite quickly why the manager has used him sparingly across all competitions this season.
