Three Premier League clubs that Djeidi Gassama could leave Rangers for after new scout reveal
Everton, Sunderland and West Ham should all be tracking Rangers star Djeidi Gassama after it was revealed that he is being scouted by Premier League clubs.
Gassama joined Rangers from Sheffield Wednesday for around £2.2million last summer after scoring seven goals in 43 Championship appearances in 2024-25.
He got off to a fantastic start at Ibrox, with four goals in his first four appearances, and has continued to be a key player throughout the season up to now.
The arrival of his former Owls boss Danny Rohl has undoubtedly boosted the versatile winger’s confidence, and he has registered eight goals and three assists in 44 games so far in this campaign.
Sources have told Football Insider that Gassama is being tracked by Premier League clubs as a result of his strong showings, and we have now looked at three sides that could look to make a move for him in the summer window.
Everton
Everton‘s current winger situation is pretty dire, with only three senior stars who primarily play on the flanks set to be fit until the end of the season after Jack Grealish’s serious injury blow.
They want to sign Grealish permanently in the summer, but there is no guarantee that a deal will happen, while Tyrique George’s loan deal only has an option to buy, so he could also return to his parent club ahead of next season.

David Moyes is set to be in need of wide forward additions after the end of this campaign, especially if they qualify for Europe, and a young, relatively cheap player with Champions League experience, like Gassama, could be the ideal signing.
Sunderland
Sunderland have made a habit of poaching emerging talent from lesser leagues and giving them a platform to shine, and the same could be done with Gassama potentially moving to Wearside.
Once more, their wingers have been pretty hit-and-miss this season, despite their success as a squad, with Regis Le Bris recently deploying full-back Trai Hume on the right-wing as a result.
Several of their wide stars, such as Romaine Mundle and Chemsdine Talbi, could move on in the summer for more consistent game time elsewhere, and Gassama’s pace and directness mean he would fit the right mould of player that Le Bris normally likes to use on the wings.

West Ham
It remains to be seen if West Ham will be in the top flight next term, but they would still surely be in with a chance of signing Gassama regardless, given the parachute payments they would receive, and the guarantee of minutes due to key men moving on.
Nuno Espirito Santo has shown that he can get the best out of a winger with similar traits to the Frenchman this season, amid Crysencio Summerville’s outstanding recent form.
The Hammers would be able to offer a package good enough to tempt Rangers into a sale, no matter the league they are in, and his prior second-tier experience would surely make Gassama a priority target even if they were to be relegated this season.
