Sutton not keen on Boyata
Speaking to BT Sport Football’s Periscope channel before the Scottish Cup final, Celtic icon Chris Sutton called on Rodgers to replace goalkeeper Craig Gordon and defender Boyata.
Sutton claimed Belgium international Boyata is not trustworthy at the back: “I think they need a centre-back. Dedryck Boyata scares me when he is in possession.”
Bringing Denayer back to Celtic Park would be a massive improvement on defender Boyata, as the Hoops look to complete another treble north of the border.
