£20m-rated player must be binned in summer: Three things learned about Newcastle in win

COMMENT

Newcastle United eased relegation fears with a well earned 1-0 win against Huddersfield at St. James’ Park on Saturday afternoon.

Ayoze Perez was the Tyneside hero when he found the net in the 80th minute after a smart ball into him by star loan signing Kenedy.

The Magpies had plenty of chances to take the lead throughout the game with Dwight Gayle and Jonjo Shelvey have numerous opportunities to break the deadlock.

However it took until the final 10 minutes for Rafa Benitez’s men to find the breakthrough and earn three points against a Huddersfield side that was been woeful on the road this season.

Saturday’s win must surely mean that Newcastle will avoid a third relegation from the Premier League as they moved up to 12th in the table on 35 points.
