Mainstay should be moved on: Three things learned about Celtic in loss v Bayern Munich

COMMENT By James Black

Celtic are out of the Champions League after a 2-1 defeat by Bayern Munich at Parkhead on Tuesday night.

The Hoops’ defeat means their only hope of European football after Christmas is a place in the Europa League as a third placed finish in their group is now the highest possible achievement.

Goals from Kingsley Coman and Javi Martinez were too much for the Hoops who scored through Callum McGregor.

The Hoops had a number of chances to score against a poor Bayern side but were unable to make the most and threaten the Germans’ goal.

Celtic still have a trip to France to face Paris Saint-Germain and a home clash with Anderlecht to come in the Champions League.
