Celtic fell to a 3-0 defeat against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night, leaving the Hoops’ chances of qualifying for the last-16 of the Champions League hanging by a thread.
Thomas Muller, Joushua Kimmich and Mats Hummels all scored for the Germans as they opened up a three point gap over Brendan Rodgers’ side in their Champions League group.
The win over Anderlecht on match day two means Celtic are likely to be playing in the Europa League after Christmas and that will represent progress for Rodgers’ side, who finished bottom of their Champions League group last season.
Despite the scoreline, Celtic take can a number of positives from the game after an improved second-half showing from the Hoops.
