Rodgers gets major decision wrong: Three things learned about Celtic in loss v Bayern Munich

James Forrest should start in more big games

When the big games come around for Celtic, Forrest always seems to get overlooked by Rodgers but the Scotland wide-man is arguably his side’s biggest influence going forward.

Patrick Roberts is very obviously the crowd-pleasing choice with his more direct style, but Forrest’s hard-work and determination down the right often brings great success.

The 26-year-old Scotland international has also been in good goalscoring for this season and, while Roberts had a decent game against Bayern, it’s time Rodgers tried to accommodate both in his side.

Moving Roberts a bit more central to play as a number 10 – in competition with the likes of Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor – could give Celtic a more attacking dynamic in big European games.

In other Celtic news, Jim Craig has made a shocking claim about this Hoops player.
