Patrick Roberts can be replaced
Roberts is facing three months out injured but despite his standing with the Celtic support, the on-loan Man City attacker isn’t irreplaceable.
Since returning over the summer, Roberts hasn’t replicated the form he showed last season and James Forrest has been a more than adequate replacement.
Forrest’s double against Motherwell continued his fine form as the Hoops winger has kept Roberts out of the starting XI at times this season.
While Roberts’ injury is a shame for the player, it shouldn’t really be a loss for Celtic.
