Johnny Hayes put in a much-improved performance for Celtic as he was given another run-out by Rodgers.
The former Aberdeen star has hit nothing like the heights he did at Pittodrie but seems to be just diligently working away in the background with the minimum of fuss.
He’s never going to be the answer for Celtic on a long-term basis but maybe he could just do a job over the remainder of the season.
With a batch of promising kids coming up through the Hoops’ Academy, Hayes’ opportunities are likely to be limited but if he keep grabbing them like he did against Motherwell he’s giving himself a fighting chance.
