Newcastle United fell to their fourth successive defeat of the season with a 3-0 home loss to Watford on Saturday.

The Magpies were coming into the clash off the back of unwanted results against Burnley, Bournemouth and most recently Manchester United, while the Hornets came into the match with a 2-0 win over West Ham under their belt.

Despite playing in front of their own fans, Newcastle allowed Marco Silva’s side to dominate proceedings, with a goal from Will Hughes being joined by an own goal from DeAndre Yedlin to give the visitors a 2-0 lead at half time.

A third goal, courtesy of Andre Gray, ended the contest, and left the Magpies without a single point over the last month.

So what can fans take away from the disappointing result at St James’ Park.
