Big name only at Ibrox to top up retirement pot: Three things learned about Rangers from win v Hibernian

COMMENT

Rangers recorded their fourth win in a row on Wednesday night with a scrappy 2-1 win over Neil Lennon’s Hibernian at Easter Road.

The hosts took the lead in the ninth minute through Lewis Stevenson before two goals in a matter of minutes from Josh Windass and Alfredo Morelos turned the game in Rangers’ favour.

Rangers lost striker Kenny Miller to what looks like a serious hamstring injury early in the first-half as their recent injury problems continued.

Hibs continued to press Rangers throughout the game and should have had a penalty when David Bates handled the ball in the box but referee Kevin Clancy and his assistant missed it.

The Gers were far from their best against Hibs but managed to grind out the win and keep within five points of Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic.
