Tottenham were comfortably beaten by rivals Arsenal in their north London clash at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday in what was their first defeat to the Gunners in seven league games.

Central defender Shkodran opened the scoring for the home side, heading home past Hugo Lloris from a free kick, before Alexis Sanchez lashed past the French goalkeeper to double their lead before the break.

Not only was it was a massively disappointing result, but the performance would have left boss Mauricio Pochettino with much food for thought.

Arsenal looked brighter than their neighbours, keeping Tottenham at bay and more importantly offering much of a threat up the other end of the pitch.
