£23m signing must be axed after shocker: Three things learned about Tottenham in win v Palace
Harry Kane earned Tottenham a last-gasp winner in what was a largely frustrating 1-0 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
Roy Hodgson masterminded a brilliant performance by the Eagles to deny the in-form stars of North London up until the 89th minute when Kane headed in a Christian Eriksen corner at the back post.
Kane, Eriksen and Dele Alli all had plenty of chances to break the deadlock earlier in the fixture but were nowhere near to their usual high standards as Palace’s rearguard did enough to earn a clean sheet.
The biggest chance of the game no doubt came to right-back Serge Aurier, who made a complete mess of prodding the ball into an open goal in the final 10 minutes.
Spurs enjoyed a lot of possession but failed to turn that into goals as they only managed to hit the target a few times until Kane’s last minute breakthrough.
Here, Football Insider looks at three things we learned about Spurs on Sunday.
