Star man a passenger - Three things learned in Tottenham clash v Manchester United
COMMENT by Russell Edge
Tottenham saw themselves slip up in the Premier League title race as they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Substitute Anthony Martial scored the only goal of the game, latching on to a knock down from Romelu Lukaku, to send Spurs away from the north west empty handed.
The result means that United go three points clear of Mauricio Pochettino’s side in second place, with Spurs potentially falling up to eight points adrift of league leaders Manchester City if they can overcome West Brom on Saturday afternoon.
It was just the second league defeat for Tottenham this season, having fallen to Chelsea earlier in the campaign, although it is two losses in succession after being knocked out of the League Cup by West Ham in midweek.
So what can fans take away from the clash?
