Just like Harry Kane was a huge absence for Spurs, so was Christian Eriksen – although the Danish international was actually on the pitch at Old Trafford.
Usually a key figure in the Spurs attack, the 25-year-old offered virtually nothing aside from a current of long range efforts at David De Gea’s goal.
He was carried by his team mates and when challenging for a title, that is just not good enough.
He needs to be having an effect on every game but that has not been the case recently, something which needs to change sooner rather than later.
