Star man must be axed: Three things learned from Tottenham win v Huddersfield
Illness takes toll on Eriksen
Danish international Christian Eriksen was missing through illness for the club’s visit to Apoel Nicosia in the Champions League during the week, but Pochettino reinstated him to the starting XI on Saturday.
However, it was clear that Eriksen was still struggling as he failed to show off the attacking prowess fans have become accustomed to seeing.
He was slow in possession and struggled to fashion chances for his team mates, and was replaced by Moussa Sissoko in the second half.
Eriksen, his team mates and Pochettino will be hoping for a stronger showing after the international break.
