Lloris the real match winner
While Tottenham netted four times, Liverpool could have been taking home the three points had it not been for the performance of Hugo Lloris.
His one mistake was what led to the Reds’ only goal, but he prevented several more opportunities, including an incredible save from Philippe Coutinho which he managed to push onto the bar.
Tottenham’s defence did not look too bad but Liverpool’s attack still managed to break through on occasion, and it was the French shot stopper who ensured that the win was secured.
A top class performance from a top class goalkeeper.
