Celtic were crowned Scottish Premiership champions for a seventh successive season on Sunday as Brendan Rodgers’ side swept Rangers away with a resounding 5-0 win over the Light Blues.
The result leaves the Gers in a real fight to even secure second in the Scottish Premiership with Aberdeen now three points ahead of them with only three games to play.
Graeme Murty’s side were woeful against their city rivals and never looked like laying a glove on them as the Gers struggled to get out of first gear.
Far too many of Murty’s side failed to turn up for the second Old Firm game in a row as they were taught a brutal lesson.
With clashes against Kilmarnock, Hibs and Aberdeen to come, the Gers are up against it to turn things around and make sure of second place before the end of the season.
Murty appears to be a dead man walking when it comes to the manager’s job at Ibrox and the thrashing at Celtic Park will have done nothing to ease the tension already hanging over the Ibrox giants.
Here, Football Insider takes a look at three things we learned from the 5-0 thrashing by Celtic.
