27-yr-old return is huge boost: Three things learned about Celtic in win

COMMENT

Celtic moved closer to clinching their seventh successive league title with a comfortable 3-0 won over bottom of the table Ross County.

The Hoops are a huge 12 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table and it seems only a matter of time before the title is sealed.

Brendan Rodgers’ side dominated the match practically from start to finish, but had to wait until the 24th minute to take the lead, when the returning Scott Sinclair was fouled in the penalty box and Moussa Dembele did the honours to score his 14th goal of the season.

The Hoops’ cause was helped even further when Ross County captain Andrew Davies was sent-off in the 39th minute for a stamp on Hoops skipper Scott Brown.

The Bhoys went 2-0 ahead in the 48th minute, when Stuart Armstrong sealed his return to the first-team with a fine strike.

The Bhoys failed to add to their lead but the good news for fans continued as Leigh Griffiths made his first appearance in two months in the second-half.
