Three ways Thomas Frank could overcome damning injury news ahead of Bodo/Glimt clash

Tottenham left it late to claim a point at home against the Premier League’s bottom club, Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Joao Palhinha’s late strike salvaged a point for Thomas Frank after Santiago Bueno’s goal gave Wolves the lead midway through the first half.

Tottenham’s draw with Wolves halted the early momentum that Frank’s squad had gained after their promising early-season form.

Last time out in the Champions League, Tottenham beat Villarreal thanks to an early blunder from goalkeeper Luiz Junior.

Richarlison Tottenham’s only fit striker against Bodo-Glimt

Tottenham will now travel to Norway, where they take on Bodo-Glimt, but Frank has been hit with an injury crisis.

Sky Sports have reported that Tottenham will be without Randal Kolo Muani and Dominic Solanke in the fixture away in Norway.

Richarlison will now be Tottenham’s only fit striker as the Lilywhites travel north of the Arctic Circle to take on familiar opponents.

Tottenham beat Bodo-Glimt in the Europa League semi-final on their way to overcoming Man United in the final under former boss Ange Postecoglou.

Frank will now be left with the head-scratching equation of discovering how to rotate his squad while also dealing with an injury crisis.

Destiny Udogie for Djed Spence

Frank’s first port of call will be to give Djed Spence a well-deserved rest after his scintillating start to the season.

Spence has started five of Tottenham’s opening six games at left back and earned his first England call-up as a result of his impressive start to the campaign.

Destiny Udogie provides great cover for Spence, offering a similar attacking presence for Frank in a game the Dane will look at as a good opportunity to dominate the ball.

Udogie was a favourite of Postecoglou, playing as a wing-back in the Australian’s system and often creating chances. Frank will look for more of the same from the Italian.

Pape Matar Sarr for Lucas Bergvall

Lucas Bergvall has been an integral part of everything that Frank’s side have done well this season, contributing to Spurs’ attacking play.

Bergvall times his late runs from Frank’s double pivot exceptionally, causing opposition defences real problems.

In a game where patient possession may be the answer, though, Frank will likely opt for Pape Matar Sarr in a controlling role.

Sarr came on and assisted Joao Pahlinha for his strike to equalise against Wolves, and the Senegalese midfielder could be a key component in Tottenham’s aims to beat Bodo-Glimt.

Wilson Odobert, Xavi Simons and Mathys Tel up front

Finally, Frank will have to look at creative ways to formulate his front four as more injuries pile up at Hotspur Way.

Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison are already sidelined, and now Kolo Muani and Solanke have joined them, Frank is scraping the barrel for his attacking talent.

Xavi Simons can comfortably shift across to his more comfortable number 10 position, while Wilson Odobert will likely deputise at left wing.

Upfront, Richarlison will need a rest after playing 180 minutes in the last seven days, and Mathys Tel seems to be Tottenham’s only fit deputy to the Brazilian.

On the right wing, Frank still has the ability to choose between Brennan Johnson and Mohammed Kudus, thankfully.

It won’t be perfect, but Frank will hope that his mismatch front four will be able to return enough firepower to see Tottenham past Bodo-Glimt.
