Tielemans and Jackson react as Leon Bailey sends message amid Aston Villa exit talk
Leon Bailey has sent a new update as speculation continues around his future at Aston Villa, leading to reactions from teammate Youri Tielemans, and Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson.
The winger has spent the last four years in the Midlands, after joining from Bayer Leverkusen back in the summer of 2021.
However, Bailey has struggled with some of his performances Unai Emery’s side recently, leading to him slipping down the pecking order.
As a result, Football Insider understands that Aston Villa are open to offers for Bailey in the summer transfer window.

Leon Bailey issues new update
Amid those frustrations and uncertainty around his future, the recent international break may have provided a distraction for the winger.
Bailey featured for Jamaica in wins over the British Virgin Islands and Guatemala to ensure they progressed to the final round of World Cup qualifying in the CONCACAF region.
The Aston Villa man’s work is not done yet though, as he is now set to feature for his national team in the upcoming Gold Cup, where they face Guatemala, Guadeloupe and Panama in the group stages.
Taking to Instagram to reflect on those recent international games and look ahead to that tournament, Bailey wrote: “Top finish to 2 good WCQ games. Now all focus on the Gold Cup”.
In response, Tielemans and Jackson were among those to show their support for the Aston Villa ace by liking that post.
Aston Villa exit makes sense
Football Insider Verdict
After such a long season with his club, you do have to have sympathy with players who, when they need a break, are instead having to worry about this run of international fixtures.
That is particularly the case when it comes to Bailey, given he will want his future sorted amid that uncertainty, something which will not be easy to solve when he is having to play so far away.
Of course, Aston Villa missed out on a place in the Champions League in controversial circumstances this season, following that final day defeat at Old Trafford.
Consequently they will miss out on a big financial windfall, and selling players is one avenue they will likely have to go down to compensate for that.
Given the way he has struggled more under Emery recently, and that with two years left on his contract this is a good opportunity to sell, it makes sense that Aston Villa may look to now move Bailey on.
