Tino Livramento is finished at Newcastle as £50m deal eyed with Euro giants
Tino Livramento’s future has been a source of plenty of scrutiny at Newcastle United in recent months.
The England international has become one of the Premier League’s brightest young talents since his move to the North East back in 2023, and that has attracted prying glances from elsewhere ahead of the January window.
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider at the start of December that Manchester City are leading the race to sign Livramento ahead of the winter window, with the likes of United and Arsenal are also keen.
The right-back has become a key part of Eddie Howe’s plans since his move to Tyneside, but that may not protect them at all in January.

Newcastle’s interest in Wesley suggests Tino Livramento exit inevitable
Newcastle are keen to tie Livramento down to a new deal ahead of his current contract expiring in the summer of 2028, but the interest from elsewhere has refused to go away.
The Premier League’s elite have taken note of the defender’s impressive performances, and that could pile the pressure on the Magpies in the next few windows.
Newcastle are now lining up a new right-back addition of their own, as they have shown a keen interest in Roma star Wesley, according to ASRomaLive.

The Brazilian has been excellent for the Italian giants since joining from Flamengo for a fee of just over £25million in the summer, and the capital club are understood to now value him at around the £50m mark.
Roma aren’t keen on the idea of selling the 22-year-old, whom Newcastle clearly see as a long-term target, given his age and the fee that it would take to bring him in.
With that in mind, it suggests that Howe and Co. feel that they cannot continue to fend off the interest in Livramento and a sale could be imminent either in January or in the summer.
How much would it cost to sign Livramento?
Newcastle contemplated placing a mega price tag on Livramento amid interest from Manchester City in the summer, as they aimed to fend off the interest from the Etihad Stadium outfit.
The Citizens were understood to be willing to pay up to £65m for the starlet back then, which would have stood him as the Magpies’ second biggest sale of all time behind Alexander Isak.
Livramento’s contract situation could seriously affect his value if it isn’t addressed in the coming years, but at the moment, it would surely take even more than that £65m figure for Newcastle to willingly let him leave.
That said, they already appear to be lining up their potential succession plan for Livramento, which certainly suggests that movement could be expected on that front soon.
