Everton fans were hoping to see new striker Cenk Tosun in the starting XI tonight, but were left disappointed when the team news was announced.
Everton have agreed a deal with Besiktas for the striker and manager Sam Allardyce said he had hoped that the player would be registered in time for the FA Cup game on Friday night.
However, they couldn’t get the deal done in time and despite missing the deadline, Everton fans were hoping he’d be in the team.
That didn’t happen though and fans reacted with disappointment when the team was released on Friday evening:

Have we sold Ross Barkley so we can afford to buy Cenk Tosun? Was there ever really £100 million available?

The Reds have been in a fine run of form of late and Sam Allardyce’s side will have their work cut out if they are going to keep out Liverpool’s free-scoring attack.
Klopp’s side have scored 50 goals in the Premier League this season and are behind only Manchester City as the league’s second top scorers.
Everton meanwhile have netted only 25 times but will be keen to see their arch rivals eliminated from the competition if they can do something about their goal-shy attack – starting tonight.
Allardyce will be without Michael Keane in defence but the backline will not have to contend with Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah – both have been ruled out of the fixture.
In other Everton news, Allardyce reveals his number one priority.
