Former Celtic striker Tony Watt believes that the purchase of Jonny Hayes is a “great signing” for the Glasgow giants.
The Hoops announced on their official website on Saturday afternoon that the 29-year-old right-winger had completed a move from Premiership rivals Aberdeen.
The attacker was a standout star for Derek McInnes’ and last season he managed a return of a fine 11 goals and 24 assists from 44 appearances in all competitions.
Now, Watt, who spent three years at Celtic between 2011 and 2014 has told on his personal Twitter account on Saturday that he’s always like Hayes and believes it is a very good addition for the prestigious club.
I've always liked him! So direct… great signing 👍🏼 https://t.co/H5oYQdmBmb

Hayes has previously worked with current Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers when the two were at English Championship side Reading.
Both have had very differing careers since with the attacker playing for such clubs as Leicester and Inverness, while Rodgers took charge of both Swansea and Liverpool.
Now, Celtic fans will be hoping the two can rekindle their relationship in Glasgow and bring more success to a team which won a domestic treble in the last campaign alongside going the entirety of the league season unbeaten.
In other Celtic news, the Hoops have made a seven-figure offer for this teenage defender.
