Top-flight club in talks for Leeds 26-year-old - Sky journalist

Italian club SPAL are in talks with Leeds for their goalkeeper Marco Silvestri, according to a reliable journalist.
Sky Sports Italy correspondent Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed on his personal website that the Serie A side are involved in ongoing discussions with the Whites for their 26-year-old.
It is understood SPAL are on the search for a new goalkeeper following their promotion to the top flight last season.
SPAL achieved promotion from Serie B as title winners last year and are back in Italy’s top division after 49 years.
Silvestri has previously played in Italy before with the likes of Cagliari and Chievo Verona, meaning he is seen as an attractive target.

The shot stopper fell down the pecking order at Elland Road last season and was unable to dislodge Rob Green from the starting XI.
He made just six appearances across all competitions and none of them came in the league.
Silvestri has made 98 appearances during his spell with the Championship club and he could yet be in contention for an important role next season, but the Yorkshire club are yet to confirm a new manager.
Football Insider verdict:
Leeds should certainly look to move on Silvestri in the summer and Italian club SPAL could be a good fit for the player. The 26-year-old has shown in glimpses his quality during his three-year stay with the Whites, but is not strong enough to play a major role in a promotion-winning season. They should look to move on the Italian shot stopper and bring in someone that can seriously challenge Green for the number one position. Leeds’ defence was a major plus point last season and helped them reach seventh in the league table, meaning it would take a top quality signing to disrupt that.
In other Leeds transfer news, they are in pole position to sign an African forward.
