Tosin Adarabioyo and Nicolas Jackson react to ‘happy’ Chelsea teammate after exit
Tosin Adarabioyo and Nicolas Jackson have reacted to an ex-teammate’s social media post after his leaving Chelsea.
Renato Veiga left Chelsea on a straight loan deal to join Juventus in the January transfer window for the remainder of the season.
Veiga was unhappy at Chelsea due to a lack of playing time and despite links to Borussia Dortmund, he opted to sign for the Italian giants instead.
The Portuguese only arrived at the club last summer from Swiss side Basel in a deal worth around £12 million.
Now settling into life in Turin, he shared an update on social media, prompting responses from his former Chelsea teammates.
Renato Veiga had to leave Chelsea in search of game time
The Portuguese defender took to Instagram after his latest match, posting “Happy teamwork” alongside several match photos.
Chelsea players, including Christopher Nkunku, Jackson, Marc Cucurella, and Adarabioyo, showed their support by liking the post.

Since his move to Juventus, the defender has received continued praise from former teammates. Cucurella even sent Veiga a Chelsea farewell message when his exit was confirmed.
The 21-year-old has settled in quickly, making three appearances for Juventus, including a Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven.
Chelsea fans have now urged the club to consider keeping Veiga despite his loan spell, impressed by his strong performances in Turin.
Enzo Maresca puts full trust in Marc Cucurella

In addition to Veiga’s departure, the club also sanctioned a loan move for Ben Chilwell to Crystal Palace in January.
This leaves the squad short of cover at left-back should an injury occur, but Enzo Maresca remains confident in Cucurella’s ability to hold down the position.
The Spaniard has been a key figure for Chelsea this season, making 20 Premier League starts and 27 appearances across all competitions, contributing three goals and three assists.
With Cucurella locked in as the first-choice left-back, Veiga and Chilwell saw limited opportunities, prompting their exits.
While failing to sign a replacement could be a gamble, Chelsea now shift focus to their upcoming Premier League clash with Brighton on 14 February, seeking revenge after their FA Cup elimination.
