Tosin Adarabioyo reacts to confirmed transfer announcement at Chelsea
Tosin Adarabioyo was the first to react as Chelsea announced a brand-new signing just days into the summer transfer window.
Enzo Maresca‘s side are set to jet out to America to take part in the Club World Cup over the coming weeks, kicking off their tournament against LAFC, and former Blues striker, Olivier Giroud.
The team heads into the post-season tournament off the back of a very successful end to the 2024/25 campaign, having qualified for the Champions League and lifted the Europa Conference League title.
Speaking to Football Insider, Keith Wyness revealed he still has question marks over Maresca’s reign at Chelsea, but Todd Boehly is unlikely to make a change after such achievements at Stamford Bridge.
Attention has already turned to the summer transfer market, with the window opening for the first 10 days of June, and the Blues have already announced their first piece of business.

Dario Essugo becomes a Chelsea player
Taking to Instagram (2 June), the official club account wrote: “Chelsea FC is pleased to confirm the signing of Portuguese midfielder Dario Essugo. Welcome to Chelsea, Dario!”
Showing support for the new signing, Adarabioyo liked the post, clearly ready to work with the talented 20-year-old next season.
Enzo Maresca means business ahead of second campaign at Stamford Bridge
Football Insider verdict
Essugo, who was on loan from Sporting CP at Las Palmas this season, is likely to be just one of multiple new signings to be made at Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Jadon Sancho is now set to return to Man United after failing to agree personal terms with the Blues, having spent the last 12 months trying to impress his temporary bosses.
Despite this, Football Insider understands that Chelsea plan to accept offers for Noni Madueke, a fellow winger in West London, leaving the Blues with plenty of work to do this summer.

Maresca, despite having a difficult relationship with the supporters throughout the season, is likely to still be in charge once next season kicks off, and he could be back under pressure within weeks.
The Italian will want to complete as much business in order to adapt the squad to his playing style, which has rarely been achieved by the current players in the Premier League.
Having lifted the Europa Conference League title, there was still success at Stamford Bridge, but with the Blues expected to win the competition from the very start, supporters will be expecting much more next season.
