Charlie Taylor refused to play on the final day of the season against Wigan – and the Leeds supporters were furious on Twitter with his decision.
Garry Monk revealed after the 1-1 draw that the defender opted not to be involved and it looks like he will be leaving Elland Road on a sour note.
Chris Wood scored his 30th goal of the season in the last Championship game of the campaign, but the huge news is that Taylor refused to feature in the match.
The 23-year-old is out of contract in the summer and has been pushing for a move away from the Whites, but they have refused to sell him last summer.
However, he is set to move on at the end of the season when his contract expires and West Brom are already in talks over a potential deal.
Leeds fans voiced their anger on social media towards academy graduate Taylor and labelled him a “total disgrace”.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
So charlie Taylor refuses to play . Well jog on then. No man bigger than a club. Berardi is twice the man and twice the player you are.@LUFC

Charlie Taylor will never play for anyone as big or with as passionate of fans than at #lufc. A sad end.

No reason for Taylor not to play today, clearly done out of spite, because club refused to sell him in the summer #lufc

Monk expressed his disappointment with Taylor’s bold decision on his post-match conference and feels he was “terribly advised”, as cited by the club’s official Twitter account.
💬 @GarryMonk "Charlie Taylor refused to play, he is a good lad but he's been terribly advised. From my point of view it's unacceptable"

Leeds fans feel betrayed by Taylor after the club have helped nurture him from a youngster to a highly rated talent.
The left-back is now expected to make the step up to the Premier League after making 104 senior appearances for the Whites.
Meanwhile, the Yorkshire giants finish the season seventh in the league with 75 points.
