Tottenham defender Kyle Walker praised his England teammates on Twitter for picking up three points against Scotland on Friday night at Wembley.

Right-back Walker, who played the full match, assisted the first goal as Gareth Southgate’s side ran out 3-0 winners in their World Cup qualifier against an abject Scotland side.

Liverpool duo Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana headed the Three Lions ahead, before Chelsea defender Gary Cahill nodded home from a Wayne Rooney corner.

Walker posted this message on his personal Twitter account after England’s win:

The win at Wembley means Southgate’s men stay top of Group F with ten points from their four games, while Gordon Strachan’s side are fifth on four points, only above Malta.

On the domestic front Walker has played 13 Premier League and Champions League games for Spurs this term, where he has assisted two goals.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are the only unbeaten team in England’s top-flight as they will now host London rivals West Ham after the international break.

The Argentine will be hoping his players will return to north London unscathed as Tottenham hope to mount another title challenge this season.

In other Tottenham team news, supporters on Twitter hailed Christian Eriksen after his stunning display for Denmark.
