Tottenham agree stunning out of window striker transfer
By Harry Sykes
Fenerbahce have confirmed they are set to sign Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen on a season-long loan deal.
The Turkish giants released a statement on their official website on Friday morning to reveal they have agreed terms in principle with Spurs and Janssen over a shock transfer.
The next step is that the Spurs forward, 23, will arrive in Istanbul at lunchtime to put the finishing touches to the transfer.
“Our club, in principle, has agreed terms with both the player and the club to loan Tottenham and Dutch national team striker, Vincent Janssen,” a statement from the Turkish club read.
“The 23-year-old striker will arrive at Istanbul Ataturk Airport at 12:30 today and negotiations will continue in Istanbul.”

Football Insider verdict:
This is a good move for Spurs and Janssen. The forward gets the chance to play regularly and restore his reputation after a wretched year in London. Tottenham can get Janssen off their wage bill after another club agreed to pick up the tab for a season. With Harry Kane, new signing Fernando Llorente and Son Heung-Min above him in the pecking order, the chances of the Dutchman getting a game are virtually nil.
In other Tottenham transfer news, the club have been hit by a devastating blow as a key first-teamer has been sidelined until next year.
