Tottenham and Arsenal fans react differently to ‘unbelievable’ inside story from Thomas Frank’s sacking
Tottenham have finally sacked Thomas Frank after a disastrous eight months at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Frank was dismissed by Tottenham on Wednesday morning, after his side had lost 2-1 to Newcastle United on Tuesday night.
The Lilywhites are without a Premier League win since the end of December, and sit only five points clear of the relegation zone.
Tottenham fans are hoping to see Mauricio Pochettino appointed to replace the Dane, who had angered them with his over-the-top respect for deadly rivals Arsenal.
Frank was pictured drinking from an Arsenal cup before Tottenham‘s January game against Bournemouth in a moment that, while clearly being a simple mistake, only further fuelled the anger.

Frank has always been keen to speak highly of Arsenal in press conferences. The Dane waxed lyrical about Mikel Arteta‘s squad on several occasions during his time at Brentford.
He surely must have been aware, however, that Tottenham fans would not take kindly to that kind of behaviour while he was in charge of the North London club.
Frank refrained from overboard praise for the Gunners on a public level, but it appears that it was a different story behind closed doors.

One source told The Telegraph on Wednesday that the 52-year-old constantly went on to the Tottenham players about Arsenal, and they quickly got sick of it.
Before and after November’s North London derby, which ended 4-1 to the Gunners, Frank told his players how good Arteta’s team are.
The feeling among some was very much ‘just shut up about Arsenal’, and there was dismay when pictures emerged of their manager drinking from a cup branded with their arch-rival’s badge.
Tottenham fans reacted to the report with anger, with one calling the story ‘unbelievable’, while another said: “Don’t even get me started on this guy & the people who spent months making excuses for him.”
In a similar sentiment, another fan called Frank the “worst Tottenham manager of all time”, and another the “complete opposite of a Spurs manager”.
Arsenal fans reacted differently, however, with many left in hysterics by the story. “Thanks for your efforts Thomas”, said one fan of the Gunners.
“We have to welcome him (Thomas Frank) at the trophy parade by May”, said another Arsenal fan.
What Arsenal fans chanted about Frank
When the pictures of Frank holding an Arsenal cup initially emerged, Tottenham’s rivals immediately jumped on it.
Within days, a chant poking fun at the Dane could be heard from the away end as Arteta’s side beat Portsmouth in the FA Cup.
“Arsenal boys, we’re on a bender, Thomas Frank is a silver member,” they sang. Silver member refers to the process in which fans can acquire tickets to attend the Gunners’ games.
To become a silver member, a fan would need to spend upwards of a decade on the waiting list – a feat that Frank, even with his newfound free time, is unlikely to achieve.
