Tottenham and Everton have asked Dinamo Zagreb about the possibility of signing Ante Coric, according to a report.

Sky Sports have claimed on their website that the Premier League pair have made contact with the club from Croatia about signing the 19-year-old.

Croatian media outlet Tportal had claimed in July that Liverpool had put in a £12million bid for the youngster, but the Sky report states that Jurgen Klopp’s interest has cooled on the two-time capped Croatia international.

It is understood that Coric fits the bill of Spurs’ next transfer target, with the club keen to sign a creative attacking player similar to Christian Eriksen.

Coric has also attracted interest from clubs in Germany and Italy and it is believed that Zagreb are willing to discuss his departure this summer.

The attacking midfielder is highly rated in Croatia and has been likened in his homeland to Manchester City’s David Silva.

The youngster attracted scouts from several European teams, as he scored five goals and supplied six assists during Dinamo Zagreb’s title winning season.

The Croatian club accept they face a battle to hang on to the youngster and their bid to drive up the price is helped by interest from the large number of Premier League club’s in their player.
