‘Tottenham are well placed after two more landmark arrivals’
Tottenham have embarked on massive change behind-the-scenes this summer despite winning their first trophy since 2008 last month.
Vinai Venkatesham has taken up the position of CEO at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, having previously worked in the same role at north London rivals Arsenal between 2020 and 2024.
Meanwhile, Donna Cullen – who was a close ally of chairman Daniel Levy and worked as an advisor for Spurs for 14 years before being appointed to the board in 2006 – has seen her role terminated.
In the dugout, Ange Postecoglou has been replaced by Thomas Frank despite delivering silverware in the Europa League.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – has issued an eyebrow-raising claim on where Spurs could turn next.

Tottenham told not to pursue more boardroom hires
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness believes Tottenham should keep their top team tight as they look to turn a new leaf.
Johan Lange remains technical director with Spurs already confirming their first summer signing – the permanent capture of Mathys Tel after his loan from Bayern Munich.
Wyness claimed “any club that has success does not have a big committee trying to make decisions”, and urged Tottenham to keep Lange, Venkatesham and Frank alone at the top – with Levy overseeing the trio.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I think they’re going to try and consolidate behind the scenes and not have more additions.
“They should try and keep it to a very tight control with Johan Lange, Vinai Venkatesham and Thomas Frank.
“I go back to my time at Everton when we had success, I believe the five most successful years for Everton this century so far, and that was because it was myself, Bill Kenwright and David Moyes, the three of us that really did everything and controlled everything.
“I think Spurs know that as well. Any club that has success does not have a big committee trying to make decisions. It just doesn’t work.
“You’ve got to have the ability to move quickly, make decisive decisions very quickly, particularly in the transfer market, but also in the day-to-day running of the club.
“You’ve got to be able to respond and be there for each other. And that’s, to me, is the way to go. And I think that Spurs realise that.
“Daniel will always be that presence overseeing things, unless there’s a change in ownership. But I think there will be a day-to-day effective group that will consolidate and do very well and react quickly which is what Spurs need right now to get into that success.
“I think they’ve got the right people there in place right now.”

Tottenham could join Garnacho bidding war
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (19 June) that Man United are hoping for a bidding war for wantaway winger Alejandro Garnacho this summer.
The 20-year-old is a target for Euro giants Napoli and Atletico Madrid as well as Premier League trio Chelsea, Aston Villa and Tottenham.
Sources say bidding is expected to start at around £50million in the coming days and weeks, with Garnacho expected to leave Man United before the deadline later this summer.
