Tottenham backed to sign striker in January after £100m reveal
Tottenham have been backed to address their attacking issues and sign a striker in the January transfer window after a £100million reveal.
Thomas Frank’s side have had major problems at centre-forward, with Dominic Solanke out injured and others not performing.
During Tottenham’s 1-0 defeat to Chelsea, they had just three shots in total, highlighting their complete lack of threat up front.
Randal Kolo Muani, who is on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, struggled to make an impact, with Richarlison having little effect on the game from the bench either.

Tottenham given £100m boost in striker search
Last month, it was revealed that Tottenham’s owners have bankrolled a £100million injection in the form of a new share issue.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that Spurs will now push the boat out to sign a striker in January.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that Tottenham need to improve in attacking areas and will make some moves when the window reopens.
Wyness added that the current strikers at the club are not at the level required.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Spurs have got to do something in that forward situation. I think that’s an area that they have not got right.
“I’m sure that’s an area that the two sporting directors will be looking at very carefully. And I would expect a move in January, and I’d expect them to push the boat out.
“They put that £100m back in the club recently and they’ll find a way to get somebody in during January, I think, because the players they’ve got right now are not performing to the level that they need to in front of goal.
“I do expect Spurs to move and fill this striker position. I think there are three or four of them in the squad currently that have not done it, and they’re going to have to make some moves. We’ll see how that goes in January.”
Tottenham linked with former Premier League star
Meanwhile, Tottenham have been linked with Ivan Toney ahead of the January transfer window.

The former Brentford man is being chased by Premier League clubs who are in desperate need of a goal-hungry forward.
Sources told Football Insider that Everton are interested in signing Toney in January, given the disappointing output from Beto and Thierno Barry.
However, Tottenham will hope to win the race for the England international to help bolster their attacking ranks.
