Agbonlahor: New Tottenham boss handed £13m boost after sale agreed
The new Tottenham manager has been handed a major transfer boost by the sale of Juan Foyth, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward insisted the Argentine did not have the pace to thrive in the Premier League.
Spurs confirmed last week Foyth’s loan move to Villareal had been made permanent for a reported £13million fee.

The 23-year-old made 32 appearances across all competitions last season, including starting the Europa League final victory over Manchester United.
He managed the same amount of games for Tottenham in his three-year spell with the club.
Asked whether Tottenham were right to sell the versatile defender, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I watched him under Pochettino and I wasn’t rating him at all.
“He lacked the pace for the Premier League and was quite naive in his tackling. He used to get outpaced a lot in the Premier League.
“Definitely a good bit of business for Spurs and I’m sure that bit of money will be given to the new manager.”
Spurs have been without a permanent manager for over 60 days after Jose Mourinho was sacked at the end of April.

Di Marzio reported today (18 June) they pulled out of negotiations with the latest frontrunner Gennaro Gattuso amid a fan backlash.
They openly opened talks with Gattuso on 17 June as he became available following his departure from Fiorentina after just more than three weeks in charge.
In other news, Tottenham are set for a big payout as terms are agreed on a rival transfer.
