Revealed: Daniel Levy to jet to Middle East this weekend after Tottenham deal agreed – sources
Daniel Levy is expected to attend the Bahrain Grand Prix this weekend as part of Formula 1’s tie-in with Tottenham, sources have told Football Insider.
Spurs signed a first-of-its-kind 15-year deal with Formula 1 earlier this week which will see an electric karting facility and London’s longest indoor track installed at their 62,850-seater stadium.
A source told Football Insider that they expect Formula 1’s team to roll out the red carpet for the Spurs chairman at the season opener in the Middle East.
It is not known whether Levy’s attendance in Bahrain is in an official or personal capacity or if he will be joined by other club grandees.
Tottenham were contacted for comment.
The partnership, which incorporates a new driver academy and career development programme, is set for a hard launch in the autumn, by which time the necessary infrastructure will have been installed.
The agreement between the club and the motorsport titans is seen as another triumph for Levy and commercial tsar Todd Kline.
The North Londoners trousered £183.5m in commercial income in 2021-22, on top of £106.1m in matchday income.
Total turnover for the campaign was £444m, on which they made a loss of £50.1m.

Spurs also host NFL, boxing and rugby events at their stadium, as well as concerts that generate international interest.
Richard Busby – an industry insider and CEO of BDS Sponsorship, one of Europe’s leading commercialisation agencies – has told Football Insider that Spurs’ “ultimate aim” may be to become a multi-sports club.
