Tottenham confirmed line v Swansea: Attacker axed in five changes

By Matt Farr

Mauricio Pochettino has made five changes to his Tottenham starting eleven to face Swansea in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

Mousa Dembele returns to the Tottenham line up in the absence of the injured Harry Winks, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season with an ankle injury.

Michel Vorm, Kyle Walker, Moussa Sissoko and Son Heung-min also come in to the line up, with attacker Vincent Janssen, Kieran Trippier, Victor Wanyama and Hugo Lloris dropping out.

Six players retain their places in the side following the 2-o win over Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday.

Tottenham announced their confirmed line up on their official Twitter account ahead of kick-off.

Wanyama does not feature in the matchday squad after failing a late fitness test. The Kenyan international was a doubt for the tie after picking up a minor knock in the win over Burnley.

Ever-present goalkeeper Lloris, meanwhile, is suffering from illness and is not deemed fit enough to play.

A win for Tottenham can send them within just four points of Premier League leaders Chelsea with eight games remaining in the title race.

It would also see their winning run extend to five consecutive games, during which they have scored 11 goals and conceded just three.
