‘Tottenham could accept huge Dejan Kulusevski offer’
Dejan Kulusevski could leave Tottenham for a “huge” fee if their league position does not improve, according to their former scout.
Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected at the club and also spent time as the chief scout at Man United and Blackburn, exclusively told Football Insider that a number of “top clubs” are keeping an eye on the 24-year-old’s situation.
Kulusevski has been a key part of Ange Postecoglou’s side this season, making 35 appearances both in the midfield and on the wing.
However, they have dropped to 15th in the Premier League, are without a win in seven games, and are increasingly unlikely to qualify for continental football.
As a result, it is believed the midfielder would welcome a move to a more competitive team and is keen to continue playing at the top level.
Kulusevski is not actively seeking a move away from Tottenham, but if the club were made an offer deemed acceptable, he could make the move.
Dejan Kulusevski could leave Tottenham in dramatic twist
Tottenham have faced constant uncertainty in recent weeks amid speculation and pressure over the futures of Ange Postecoglou and Daniel Levy.
Brown, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted there is set to be no shortage of interest in the midfielder come the end of the season.
“All players want to play at the top level,” he told Football Insider.
“He’s consistently been their best player whenever I’ve seen them.
“Even while his team has been struggling, he’s one player who’s turned in some really impressive performances for them.
“What happens down the road in terms of his future, stranger things have happened.
“I think Tottenham have to see where they finish the season, it looks unlikely they’re going to qualify for Europe, and then assess what they can and can’t do.

“It would probably take a huge fee to convince them to sell Kulusevski.
“But and I think he’d be open to a move if one came up, and there isn’t any shortage of interest in him from some of the top clubs.”
