‘Tottenham could sign Mohammed Kudus and also hijack Arsenal deal’
Tottenham are currently in pursuit of West Ham attacker Mohammed Kudus as they look to bolster their attacking ranks.
On Wednesday (2 July), Football Insider exclusively revealed that Spurs had made a £55million bid for Kudus, but that the Hammers had turned the approach down.
The Ghana international has an £80million release clause in his contract, but it is believed that the East London side are willing to sell for less than that figure.
The 24-year-old has been the subject of heavy interest from a number of Premier League teams this summer, and Football Insider exclusively revealed last month (10 June) that West Ham are reluctantly prepared to accept offers for the winger.
However, Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes Tottenham should steer clear of signing Kudus.

Tottenham tipped to sign Kudus and ambush Arsenal
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness revealed that Kudus would not be at the top of his shortlist if he were in charge of Spurs.
Thomas Frank was recently appointed by Tottenham and is looking to put his mark on the squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Wyness insists that Frank’s future at the North London club will be decided by decisions like these, while he also hinted at a potential Spurs hijack of their bitter rivals Arsenal.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I think that it’s a funny one. Kudus has been linked with Spurs, you know, and there have been a couple of other clubs that have looked at him as well.
“There’s Eze floating around, the same sort of player. Is he going to go to Arsenal or Spurs? There are a few things there, but it does seem Spurs are leading the race for Kudus.
“Thomas Frank is the man now, and these decisions that he’s making right now are what’s going to impact his career because that first season is going to be pretty crucial. Is Kudus the first one I’d have been picking? I doubt it.”

Tottenham hit by Eberechi Eze blow
Meanwhile, Tottenham have been hit with a blow in their pursuit of Crystal Palace winger Eberechi Eze, sources have told Football Insider.
Eze has a £68million release clause in his contract, and sources say that Palace are keen to hold out for that figure.
Spurs, who have been long-term admirers of the England international, had been hoping that they would be able to agree on a cheaper deal with the Eagles.
The 27-year-old is keen to play at the highest level, and the North London side can offer him Champions League football after their Europa League triumph last season.
