Tottenham expert fumes at Arsenal amid 'unexpected' development
Arsenal’s start to the season means Tottenham fans are struggling to enjoy their own campaign.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
The Gunners sit top of the Premier League heading into the World Cup break, eight points clear of their fourth-placed rivals.
Spurs, meanwhile, are three points ahead of Man United, who have a game in hand, and are safely through to the knockout stages of the Champions League.
However, Wenham admits it is harder to enjoy Spurs’ success while Arsenal are doing so well.
“You have to look at the facts,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“We are top of our Champions League group and well into the knockout stages as well as being in the top four in the Premier League.
“Yes, there have been some bad days and some really bad performances but there have been some really good ones too.
“There is still that, sort of, negative feeling though. I believe that comes from Arsenal and them being top of the league which was unexpected.
“I think if they were below us or maybe not even top of the league then Spurs fans would feel a lot better about everything.
“The worst thing is that I said for weeks that they would start losing against the big teams. Well, they went to Chelsea and won so that has blown my theory out of the water.
“The whole season could change after the World Cup but you have to look at where we were last season compared to now, there is a long way to go.
“Let’s see where both teams are in May.”
