Tottenham expert 'really excited' after behind-the-scenes Ivan Perisic image drops

Ivan Perisic can single-handedly help to improve Tottenham as a club thanks to his dedication and commitment.

That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Perisic, 33, shared images of himself using the Hotspur Way gym last Thursday (3 November).

This was a scheduled day off for Spurs’ players and first-team facilities are usually desired on these occasions.

Wenham insists Perisic’s commitment to his physical health shows his elite mentality and how it can help Tottenham.

“I remember when pre-season started, Perisic had come back and was already involved in gym work,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“That’s the type of guy he is. He was there before pre-season to familiarise himself with his new surroundings at Hotspur Way.

“He went and met all of the staff. He is a completely dedicated professional and for the other staff to pick up his habits and demeanour, it’s perfect.

“I wish we had him ten years ago because I think he’s fantastic. I love how versatile he is. He can play in absolutely any position and do well.

“He’s got a load of assists this season as well. I’m really excited to see what he does next and how he can help us to improve as a club.”

Perisic joined Spurs in the summer on a free transfer.

He has four assists in 14 Premier League appearances.
