Tottenham expert: Sergio Reguilon could replace Arsenal star in £15m deal

Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon could join Real Betis in a £15million move this summer.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Football Insider revealed on 28 April Tottenham are willing to listen to offers for Reguilon, 25, and that a Spanish club have registered their interest.

Spurs have since signed Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan on a two-year deal.

Wenham insists the Croatia international will be the first choice left wing-back which opens the door for Reguilon to depart.

When asked how much Tottenham can demand for Reguilon, Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild, “£15million.

“People come out with these big figures but it might have to be one of those deals where it is a loan at first.

“Then an option or obligation to buy next summer. Bellerin seems like he isn’t staying at Real Betis, could Reguilon end up there?

“We have Perisic who I think will now be first choice. Then it seems Conte likes Sessegnon so if one of Sessegnon or Reguilon were going to go then it will be Reguilon.”

Hector Bellerin spent the 2021-22 season on loan at Real Betis and made 32 appearances in all competitions.

He helped the Spanish side win that campaign’s Copa del Rey and secure a fifth-place finish in La Liga.

In other news, Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign a West Ham star who starts every match.
