Tottenham fans bid farewell to Son Heung-Min after journalist’s update
Tottenham supporters have reacted all but unanimously to an update regarding Heung-Min Son and his future at the club.
Tottenham’s summer has been nothing short of eventful as they transition into a new era under head coach Thomas Frank, who has wasted little time in implementing major changes to the squad.
Spurs have already completed moves for Mohammed Kudus and a permanent deal for Mathys Tel, but departures are also expected in the coming weeks.
Football Insider revealed that Tottenham are open to cashing in on Son if a “huge” offer arrives, with interest reportedly coming from both the MLS and the Saudi Pro League.
Former Tottenham scout Mick Brown added further fuel to the speculation, revealing that the Spurs are beginning to explore potential replacements for Son amid growing concerns over his fitness and long-term durability.
Now, a fresh update on the South Korean forward’s situation has sparked a wave of reaction from fans, with many of whom are now calling on the club to sanction his exit while they still can command a significant fee.

LAFC make push to sign Heung-Min Son
LAFC are “pushing hard” to sign Son, according to Paul Tenorio of The Athletic, with the MLS side aiming to secure a deal for “2025 and beyond”.
Although negotiations are still at an early stage and no major breakthrough has been made, LAFC remain determined to land the Tottenham forward. If the move were to go through, Son would reunite with former Spurs teammate Hugo Lloris, who made the switch to the United States in 2023.
Son has just one year left on his current contract at Tottenham after the club triggered a short-term extension earlier this year but the club are now keen to avoid losing him for free and are exploring the possibility of securing a fee this summer.
While Son previously turned down interest from the Saudi Pro League, clubs from the region remain interested. It remains to be seen where he could end up if he opts to leave North London amid new attempts from LAFC.
Tottenham fans back Heung-Min Son departure amid new era under Frank

Son has long been regarded as a modern great at Tottenham, following his arrival from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015. The forward has made 454 appearances for the club, scoring 173 goals and providing 101 assists.
He also played a key role in ending the club’s 17-year wait for silverware, helping Spurs lift the Europa League title after beating Manchester United in the final.
Despite his legacy, both the club and fans now appear to be leaning toward a mutual parting of ways as new head coach Frank reshapes the squad.
One fan said: “This could be the best decision for everyone. I love Sonny, but I think the time has come,” while another added: “Time to go, Sonny.”
