Tottenham fans convinced over Mauricio Pochettino return after photo shared: ‘We all know it’s happening’
Tottenham fans have never been more convinced that Mauricio Pochettino could be about to return to the club in the coming months.
The Argentine led the Lilywhites to their first-ever Champions League final during his previous stint in charge, while also leading them to their best-ever Premier League finish in the 2015-16 campaign.
Football Insider revealed in January that Pochettino is “definitely” on Tottenham’s shortlist of potential new managers, if they ultimately decide to part ways with Thomas Frank.
The Dane continues to face significant pressure in North London at the moment, and Pochettino has just sent speculation swirling once again.

Mauricio Pochettino poses with Tottenham legend Osvaldo Ardiles
Football Insider also revealed in January that Pochettino would be open to return to Tottenham if given the opportunity, and he has never hidden his love towards the club.
That was evident once again on Thursday, as he posted a photo of himself alongside Spurs legend Osvaldo Ardiles on his Instagram story.
Pochettino accompanied the photo with his fellow Argentine with the caption of “COYS” and that has sent fans into a frenzy over the possibility of a return.
The Tottenham hierarchy remain in support of Frank at the moment, but that hasn’t prevented talk of a potential fresh appointment, and this has only added fuel to the fire.
Tottenham fans on X are convinced that Pochettino’s post is a sign that he wants to return in the summer, with one supporter suggesting that he “wants the job so badly,” while another added that “we all know it’s happening.”
One fan also suggested that the 53-year-old is “dying” to return to his old stomping ground, while it was also suggested that he is “100 per cent coming back in the summer.”
- @RickySacks: “Come home, King!”
- @kernowspursfan: “Just feels like he’s coming back.”
- @ToTtilIdie: “Our next manager, you can’t hide it.”
Pochettino appointment could derail 2026-27 campaign for Spurs
Football Insider recently revealed that Tottenham have “no chance” of appointing Pochettino until after this summer’s World Cup, as he prepares to lead the USA into a home tournament.
The Argentine will not step away from that role before his team are eliminated from the competition, with the final due to take place on 19 July.
His contract is due to expire after the tournament, but that could leave Spurs’ preparations for the 2026-27 Premier League season in big trouble if the USA go deep into the tournament.
The potential of preparing for a new campaign without a manager would be a difficult task for the Lilywhites, and that could provide them with another reason to continue to put their faith in Frank for now.
If Tottenham are to genuinely make a move for Pochettino in the summer, then they will surely be keen to secure a guarantee that he will take the job before the World Cup gets underway.
